#800gChallenge 

 

 

What is it?

The #800gChallenge is a fun and inclusive twist on eating healthy.

 

First, there are NO foods to eliminate.  That's right! All you have to do is eat 800 grams (by weight) of fruit and/or vegetables per day. 

Why? It's a simplified way to get all those servings of fruits and vegetables that are associated with health. 

No foods are eliminated.  Eat the fruits and veggies of your choice.  Hit the macros you want.  It's healthy eating without the obsession.

This challenge has been created by EC Synkowski of "OptimizeMe Nutrition", a certified Crossfit Level 4 Coach who has educated thousands of individuals on nutrition.

Why a Challenge At All?

You put in the hard work in your workouts - but nutrition is AS IMPORTANT AS WORKING OUT. Re-read that, WE get it! In our modern busy lives, we are ALL subject to falling off the proverbial nutrition wagon.  We use challenges to provide that same group atmosphere that's successful for workouts.  It's about getting back on the wagon, challenging yourself, and/or learning something new about your nutrition.

Scoring

We will use Wodify Rise to log scores and leaderboard throughout the challenge.  More info on scoring can be found when you have joined the challenge.

In the Gym Meeting

I will host a meeting at the gym to go over all the challenge rules and answer your questions.  Be sure to be there.  If you are a remote user, I will post some FAQ on the Facebook page or you are welcome to post your own.
